North Shore Metal Recyclers buy and sell non ferrous and ferrous metals servicing the greater metropolitan region of Sydney.

With the capacity to cover collection of recyclable metals from both private customers and small scale business owners, through to large scale building sites and factories, NSMR are in a position to service many facets of the market.

Some of the metal products collected include Copper, Insulated Copper, Aluminium, Brass, Stainless Steel, Lead and Steel. These products are then sorted, weighed and supplied to foundries and the overseas export market.

History

North Shore Metal Recyclers has been a family owned and operated business for over 65 years. In 1935 Bill Woodhouse realized an opportunity to recycle discarded metal products and set out to fulfill a major gap in the market. This business grew rapidly and by 1960 Harvey Woodhouse took over the business from his father to service the lower north shore and city areas. In 1990 Harvey was joined by his children, who have since taken over the business to pioneer the next development phase of NSMR.

Company Vision

North Shore Metal Recyclers is a company with a clear vision to expand its core metal recycling activities whilst developing streamlined recycling services and solutions. Over the past 15 years, the company has successfully expanded its reach from the lower north shore and city areas to the greater metropolitan region of Sydney.

As part of the expansion process NSMR has now relocated to larger premises in Artarmon, which caters for a more efficient level of serviceability and support for their customers. This is inline with their company objective to become the leading operator in their market of buying and selling recyclable metal products.
